Hotelier Vikram Chatwal, the ex husband of Delhi socialite – Priya Sachdev was arrested on 2nd April at the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport with an arsenal of drugs hidden on his person, in his crotch and in his bag. Chatwal’s association with drugs in nothing new. He was also at a drug rehab hospital in Mumbai few years back and many US Tabloids have many a times reported Chatwal and his BFF – Lindsay Lohan as coke-buddies.
Vikram Chatwal was booked on one count of trafficking (6 grams of heroin) and seven counts of possession … including cocaine, buprenorphine (an opioid), clonazepam (a sedative), alprazolam (Xanax) and lorazepam (muscle relaxants), ketamine (a horse tranquilizer) and weed.
According to the police report, Chatwal admitted to cops that he illegally purchased and possessed the drugs.
Drama Queen and ‘Mean Girl’ Lindsay Lohan hasn’t had enough of Chatwal Khaandan. After being spotted smooching and doing lines with Vikram Chatwal at his hotel Dream, Lilo made a sour face and rudely confronted Priya Sachdev at the Dream Downtown on Wednesday night, saying with obvious disdain, “You are his wife?”
Lindsay had been staying at Vikram’s house and even installed her hairdresser in the baby’s room, but was told to leave before Priya arrived from India with their daughter a few days ago. In fact Pop-in-Law, Sant Chatwal tried to order Lindsay out numerous times.
Lilo and Priya confrontation happened when Lindsay found out Vikram was hosting a dinner at the Dream, and turned up with a friend at the hotel’s Electric Room. Priya was subdued and calm but Lilo was playing out her ‘Mean Girls’ role in real life. Sources say that Lindsay Lohan never knew Vikram Chatwal was married.
But I think Vikram Chatwal is to be blamed for it all. He flew Lohan to town before New York Fashion Week on his jet, and they’ve been repeatedly spotted partying together. Papa Sant Chatwal is a worried man because now Priya, the separated wife of Vikram can really claim a huge-huge alimony when the divorce settlements come up.

Hindustan Times Luxury Conference is back. The hugely successful event this year is scheduled for 25th & 26th March, 2011 in Mumbai. Besides the usual pack of head honchos of global luxury labels, HT Luxury will have legendary designer Emanuel Ungaro gracing the event.
Ungaro made headlines for wrong reasons when they appointed Lindsay Lohan as the label’s Artistic Director and because of which their Creative Director Esteban Cortezar moved out in protest. The introduction of 
Lohan, which was meant to give the label publicity, was received with shock and dismay in Paris Fashion Week 2009. In 2010, during Paris Fashion Week, Lindsay Lohan announced that she was no longer working for or with Ungaro, and that she could not comment on the matter because of legal issues. The label soon got its act together and hired the immensely talented British Designer, Giles Deacon.
Emanuel Ungaro retired in 2005 and sold the label to American businessman, Asim Abdullah. Ungaro started his own label in 1965 after working with Balenciaga and Courrèges. The designer gave a new feminine form to women’s fashion and is still known for the bold colours and prints he introduced. Cosima Ungaro, his daughter might accompany the legend at HT Luxury Conference.
