Apparently People magazine paid a whopping $1.5million to have the exclusive picture rights to Kim Kardashian’s wedding.
So here’s the highly anticipated front cover for their wedding issue which was released in the US today. The edition is supposed to be about Kim AND Kris’s big day but obviously the majority of the publication is mainly taken up with pictures of Kim in her pretty Vera Wang dress, much like the front cover of the publication demonstrates.
Some staff over at People said today: “It’s all about the bride. We wanted her. It’s her day, we wanted her on the cover”. In an interview with the mag, Kim had this to say about her wedding, “It was like we were in heaven. I felt like a princess. Glam aside, that wasn’t our main goal. It was really about our family and each other.”
Kris Humphries also said some stuff about the ceremony but no one was really bothered about that because let’s be honest, all we want to do is stare at pictures of Kim. Don’t we?
What next? People sure would love to have the exclusive rights of Liz Hurley’s wedding with Shane Warne in November this year. It seems like a good business idea Liz – to have a wedding every couple of years and sell the exclusive rights for Millions!

I thought true-blue fashionistas follow the thumb-rule of wearing the host designer’s creations at their shows and soirees. It’s a way of showing solidarity. But I was shocked to discover that the busty-lusty Elizabeth Hurley wore Dior to the Valentino Garavani Archives Dinner Party at Versailles. Interestingly it wasn’t a one time faux pas. Liz Hurley wore Dior even at Valentino Haute Couture Show in Paris the same afternoon. For the Valentino Couture show Liz wore a pink silk georgette Dior dress and for the evening gala dinner she looked tempting in a lilac silk chiffon bustier Dior dress. It’s like a double slap for Valentino and at the same time a double-whammy for Christian Dior.
It’s not that Elizabeth Hurley didn’t have any Valentino dresses in her closet. Arun Nayyar definitely splurges on her.
I don’t know if I am right about the thumb-rule of donning the dress of the designer whose show or the dinner you attending. What do you say folks? In fact I have seen Kalyani Shah Chawla, our very own Dior ambassador in Pratap jacket or a shirt at Pratap’s show. In fact here if we spot a real fashionista in a Sabyasachi number at Tarun Tahiliani’s Bridal exposition, tabloids will go screaming ‘Breaking News – Breaking News’.
