Guys I was there at IIFA 2010 @ Colombo blogging on IIFA. It’s purely the reason I haven’t been able to feed you with news on FashionScandal. Sorry for that.
Well coming back to IIFA, if you thought Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi are going around, you are mistaken. Bhupathi was there in Colombo just for a day. After he left, I spotted Lara with this unknown Sri Lankan guy. Their was certainly some great chemistry between Lara and her Lankan beau. All that I managed to dig out was that this Lankan bloke is a loaded dude.
The Bachchans as you know gave IIFA 2010 a skip. Yet Paa won Amitabh Bachchan the Best Acto
r Award. But do you know how smitten Abhishek Bachchan is by Aishwarya. Reitesh Desmukh said, “If Aby Baby were to make a painting, he would paint Ash as Mona Lisa”. Have a look at the picture below. Ranbir Kapoor too gave IIFA a miss but Boman Irani said, “If Ranbir was to paint a canvas, he would paint a Kat, oops a Cat”. Salman definitely wouldn’t like the piece of art!
And the two famous love-birds, Kareena and Saif have been fighting. The fight is over Kareena’s figure. Bebo isn’t size zero anymore and now looks curvy enough. But Saif doesn’t like it. He has been rather vocal about Bebo should lose some weight. Come on dude, we think she looks better with some curves. Waddya say?
When Mehr Jesia Rampal and Arjun Rampal bagged the hugely lucrative deal of hosting Fashion Shows at post-match IPL Night parties, I guessed Rohit Bal would be the designer to showcase in the Finale bash. Why? Well I have many reasons to think Gudda would had got it because (a) Arjun Rampal whatever he is today is primarily because of Gudda, (b) Gudda is one of the stalwarts of Indian fashion and a showman apt for IPL kinda show and (c) Because Tarun Tahiliani had already done an IPL show at IPL2 in South Africa.
But yet again Tarun Tahiliani is the finale designer for the IPL3 Grand Bash tomorrow, i.e the 23rd. Tarun’s aces are that Mehr Rampal and TT are very close and Lalit Modi’s wife, Minal has been a Muse of Tahiliani since long. Mind you, I am not undermining Tarun’s stature as a designer. He too is a stalwart. I am just expressing my thoughts on why Gudda didn’t do the Final Show.
Yes Gudda is unwell but Mehr Rampal finalised the list of designers much before Bal suffered that huge attack. But I was wondering it Gudda’s no-show has got to do something with the Grand Finale of WIFW spring-summer 2010? Gudda was the Finale designer and Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor were the show-stoppers. Arjun Rampal and Dino Morea too were suppose to walk the ramp then but Arjun Rampal insisted that he’ll be the show-stopper and not Kat & Ranbir. The demand seemed too much for Wills and Gudda. Rampal fumed and walked off from the show. It was a bit too much for Arjun Rampal to demand the show-stopper when Kat and Ranbir were there. The beautiful couple were literally ruling the Bollywood Box Office then. Is Arjun Rampal settling scores? Nah, he can’t be that petty…
