If 2012 was a great year for the Indian Movie Industry aka Bollywood, what with films setting new Box Office records by grossing over Rs.100 Crores, Rs. 200 Crores and out-of-the-box movies like Barfi, Kahani and Gangs of Wasseypur not only getting critical acclaim but turning to be a hit at the Box Office too.
But 2013 has started on a somber note for Bollywood. Sanjay Dutt was convicted by Supreme Court in the 1993 Mumbai Blast Case and was sentenced to 5-years imprisonment. Today the age-old Black-Buck case in Jodhpur that had indicted Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Sonali Bendre and Tabu will be heard in the court and possible judgement would be pronounced. Salman Khan’s hit-and-run case is still sub-judice and he has a new case to deal with where fishermen have accused Salman Khan and his bodyguards of manhandling, threatening and causing damage to property. This small fishermen’s colony is just opposite the new bungalow that Sallu bhai has purchased.
Then we have Preity Zinta’s run-in with the Enforcement Directorate who recently probed her on the source of funds that she had invested in her IPL Team. Of course there are zillion of unverified reports of fimstars’ run-in with the law. Like recently it was reported that Saif Ali Khan manhandled a CISF man who asked him to vacate the VIP Lounge at the Lucknow Airport or Bipasha Basu being stopped at the Customs for carrying in undeclared valuables…
I think as we celebrate the 100 years of Indian Cinema, all the pending cases against our film stars should come to conclusion. It would be ideal way to celebrate 100 years of Indian Cinema.
I simply love these photographs, which I ‘stole’ from Homi Adjania’s FB. Here you can see Anaita Shroff Adjania, the stylist for the movie Cocktail that was directed by her hubby- Homi Adjania. These pictures showing Saif Ali Khan in a ‘Drag’ get-up is obviously from his latest release – Cocktail.
The expressions are hilarious. The picture where Anaita blissfully grabs Saif’s ‘man boobs’ and the other one where Saif strategically places his hand on the crotch are really funny!
I have a first hand experience of Saif Ali Khan’s angry moments. This was when I was with HT Citty. My photographer colleague , Rajesh Kashyap and I spotted Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor together at a Delhi nightspot. This was the time when Saif and Kareena did not come out openly about their affair. My colleague took a picture of Saif-Kareena together and pronto Saif came, snatched the camera and deleted all the pictures. So all those – Sobha De and Alyque Padamsee - who are tom-toming about Saif being a good and cultured boy probably haven’t seen the bad side of the Nawab.

Way to go on the life lessons, Daddy!Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was brought by Mumbai police to the Colaba Police station for interrogation in a case relating to an assault on an NRI businessman on Wednesday evening. According to reports, he was questioned, charged with assault and then granted bail.
Earlier, the actor got into a scuffle in a five star hotel restaurant last night and apparently punched a man in his face and broke his nose. [Is this what they teach in Nawab school?]
A case under section 325 of the IPC had been registered against Saif. The incident took place last night at Wasabi restaurant, Taj Hotel when he, along with Kareena, Malaika Arora Khan, Amrita Arora Ladak and a few friends, were having dinner.
Iqbal M Sharma, a temporary resident of Juhu, was sitting with his family at an adjoining table. According to reports, Iqbal complained about the clamour that Saif and his friends made. This ticked off Saif and a scuffle broke between the two. Saif, reportedly, told Iqbal to go to a library to find quiet. [Ooh nice almost insult, Saif Uncle!]
Some reports suggested that the fight actually broke between Amrita Arora Ladak’s husband Shakeel Ladak and Iqbal. But it was only when Saif intervened that he got into a brawl with Iqbal.
Post the scuffle, Iqbal lodged a complaint that Saif and two of his associates assaulted him with fist blows, causing fracture to his nose. A case has been registered against the actor with the Colaba police station.
According to Times Now, Iqbal M Sharma is the deputy director of department of trade & investment, South Africa. He is a South African national of Indian origin. Iqbal told Times Now that Saif and his friends abused him and his father-in-law verbally and assaulted them physically.
Hawaldar Welkar of the Colaba Police station in Mumbai confirmed the news and told us, “Yes, a case was registered against Saif Ali Khan by Iqbal Sharma, last night for some fight that took place between them in Hotel Taj last night. Rest of the details are with my boss ACP Iqbal Sheikh.”
When contacted ACP Iqbal Sheikh said, “We are conducting an inquiry into the matter and we will be questioning every one involved in this case. If required we will be arresting who ever is at fault.”
Meanwhile the people at Wasabi refused to comment on the incident. Pankaj Singh, the floor manager at the Wasabi said, “I wasn’t here last night so I don’t know about anything that happened at the restaurant nor have I heard anything from anyone here.” [So f*cking typical! God forbid, Bollywood stars stop eating there...]
I don’t understand why media is swooning over Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s red-carpet moment on the Opening Day at Cannes Film Festival 2011. Okay the one-shoulder Elie Saab gown was beautiful but didn’t look great on her. I think Ash looked like an ‘Auntie ji’! I guess she wore the gown that had a flaring out layer at the hip to kind of take away the attention from her derriere, which I think looked really big. Even the Cummer (Waist) is like a Kamra (Room). And what about the folds on the under-arm and sagging back??? She’s really become like those heavy and busty South Indian actresses. Salma Hayek post her pregnancy looked hot and Uma Thurman, who is much older than our Ash looked chic.
Saif Ali Khan was royally ignored. As customary, even his name wasn’t announced as he walked down the red-carpet in a Tom Ford suit and not a single flash-bulb flashed. Really sad 
dude. I mean even Minissha Lamba dressed in a Gauri & 
Nainika gown had her paparazzi moment but Saif had none. I think Saif Ali should have done some preparation like hiring a high-flying publicist and stuff. Chivas Regal didn’t do any of it. I am sure the paparazzi took him to be a waiter or a random escort as he hurriedly walked down the red-carpet, unrecognised.
Guys I was there at IIFA 2010 @ Colombo blogging on IIFA. It’s purely the reason I haven’t been able to feed you with news on FashionScandal. Sorry for that.
Well coming back to IIFA, if you thought Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi are going around, you are mistaken. Bhupathi was there in Colombo just for a day. After he left, I spotted Lara with this unknown Sri Lankan guy. Their was certainly some great chemistry between Lara and her Lankan beau. All that I managed to dig out was that this Lankan bloke is a loaded dude.
The Bachchans as you know gave IIFA 2010 a skip. Yet Paa won Amitabh Bachchan the Best Acto
r Award. But do you know how smitten Abhishek Bachchan is by Aishwarya. Reitesh Desmukh said, “If Aby Baby were to make a painting, he would paint Ash as Mona Lisa”. Have a look at the picture below. Ranbir Kapoor too gave IIFA a miss but Boman Irani said, “If Ranbir was to paint a canvas, he would paint a Kat, oops a Cat”. Salman definitely wouldn’t like the piece of art!
And the two famous love-birds, Kareena and Saif have been fighting. The fight is over Kareena’s figure. Bebo isn’t size zero anymore and now looks curvy enough. But Saif doesn’t like it. He has been rather vocal about Bebo should lose some weight. Come on dude, we think she looks better with some curves. Waddya say?
