Karan Johar, the jack of all trades and Rohit Bal aka Gudda continued their tiff at the HDIL Couture Week. I believe the tiff started at the launch of The Collective in Delhi some weeks back where K Jo felt Gudda spoilt his skit. By the way, whoever saw the skit wondered what was it all about. Later at The Collective launch Manish Malhotra joined Karan Johar in bitching about Gudda and blaming him for spoiling the show. Gudda was apparently a bit late and a little tipsy.
At HDIL Couture Week, Gudda lambasted the Bollywood(isation) of the Couture Week. I totally agree with Gudda on this. HDIL was nothing but Bollywood Tamasha. K Jo +Varum Bahl’s show had Big B, SRK and Hrithik Roshan on the ramp and Mumbai went gaga about it. Jitesh Pillai of Filmfare tweeted 12hours before the show that K Jo’s going to recreate K3G on the ramp so all that drama of pulling out SRK from his seat to the ramp and all that bonhomie between Big B and SRK was pre-planned but was presented as something impromptu. In all this brouhaha, everybody forgot the clothes, which were rather nice, thanks to Varun Bahl’s creative genius.
Gudda however gave it back in his own way to KJo on his TV show by sticking to his guns that fashion shouldn’t be mixed with Bollywood Bling.
Manish Malhotra was cribbing that Rohit Bal spoilt his show at The Collective launch in Delhi. Malhotra was complaining about the skit that Karan Johar hosted at the launch and Gudda and Pratap were part of the skit. Don’t know what Gudda did to spoil his show but Manish Malhotra is quiet a spoilsport. By the way, I think the skit hosted by K Jo was rather stupid.
At the Chivas Tour last year, Manish Malhotra and Rohit Bal were paired together for a show in Mumbai. Manish wanted the second half, which was slotted for Gudda but when organisers didn’t budge, he pleaded that when Gudda’s show ends, he should be called again on the ramp for the bow. What stupid demands, huh. Manish concentrate on your designs. If they are good you need not re-appear on the ramp twice or blame it on somebody for a lack-lustre show.
Page 3 wannabes employ various tricks to catch the attention of shutterbugs at various dos. In fact there are so many ways, some very indigenous ones this desperate wannabes use that I can write a ’101 Ways to be on Page 3′. Any willing publisher here?
Well one of the tricks used by P3 wannabes was spotted by the shutterbugs at the launch of the multi-brand designer store – The Collective at Emporio last night. See the pictures here. They seem to be very hungry. Nowadays Page 3 dos don’t serve finger foods, just free booze. Can you identify the couple? I am so dying to know who they are.
And see how effective this trick is. Most of the photographers at the do went click-click when they saw the two wannabes snoggling. I asked few, “Kaun Hai’ and there was a chorus reply – ‘FARZI LOG”!
