Giorgio Armani, Gucci and Burberry are among the international luxury brands to open, each, second stores, in the National Capital Region (NCR) of New Delhi, in Gurgaon, at the newly opened OBEROI Gurgaon Hotel.
The Oberoi Gurgaon is the latest luxury hotel opening by the Indian hotel operator in India and is situated within 15 minutes from Indira Gandhi, New Delhi’s International Airport and less than approximately 45 minutes from the city centre. The new spectacular architectural development of the OBEROI Gurgaon, includes a stand alone glass and steel building which will house on one side Gucci and on the other side Giorgio Armani.
For both brands – Armani & Gucci, this would be the second store in New Delhi, after their first stores opened four years ago at the Emporio Mall. Brands such as Burberry, Paul & Shark and Ermenegildo Zegna will open smaller locations, on a specially designated luxury retail wing within the hotel, with large windows overlooking the manmade lake, in the courtyard of the hotel. The new luxury shopping units are to be opened by the beginning of September.
Folks, a reader of Fashionscandal – Ankita sent this info to me as a part of a comment on one of my previous Blogs -”Prasanna Bhaskar to Quit Ferragamo in December”. She writes:
“I agree we shud not point fingers at individuals but it is also important for us not to cheat on our customers. Vimal, Prasanna & Ashish together have been cheating a lot of customers. They raise prices of products and sell to customers to meet budget. Sonam Kapoor had bought a clutch from the Delhi store for which the price was increased as the team was told that she would not get to know. They hve been doing this with a lot of their VVIP clients like Richard Madhok, Gaurav Khullar etc and it is sad as no luxury brand would do a thing like this. She would sell exotic leather in the store and tell the press that they are only press samples. She used to pick up store pieces from the Bangalore store and keep for herself. It is better not to have a management rather than have people like them who kill the brand.”
If anybody who is reading this can find out from Sonam how much she payed for the clutch she picked up from Salvatore Ferragamo at DLF Emporio in New Delhi, I will personally check if she was made to pay more and then take up the issue with Ferragamo bosses.
Also selling products made out of Exotic Leather is ILLEGAL and it needs to be verified upon.
Page 3 wannabes employ various tricks to catch the attention of shutterbugs at various dos. In fact there are so many ways, some very indigenous ones this desperate wannabes use that I can write a ’101 Ways to be on Page 3′. Any willing publisher here?

Well one of the tricks used by P3 wannabes was spotted by the shutterbugs at the launch of the multi-brand designer store – The Collective at Emporio last night. See the pictures here. They seem to be very hungry. Nowadays Page 3 dos don’t serve finger foods, just free booze. Can you identify the couple? I am so dying to know who they are.
And see how effective this trick is. Most of the photographers at the do went click-click when they saw the two wannabes snoggling. I asked few, “Kaun Hai’ and there was a chorus reply – ‘FARZI LOG”!
