Bosnian model Andrej Pejic is a ”rising star” in the fashion industry — just landed an ad campaign for Jean Paul Gaultier. With long blond hair and a square jaw, Pejic resembles Karolina Kurkova… but wait, Pejic is a guy, a male who has been modelling as a female. In fact he modelled alongside Karolina Kurkova. (See picture.)

Pejic’s striking androgynous look has been embraced by fashion’s most creative forces, with French Vogue editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld and leading photographer Steven Meisel among his champions. He walked the Gaultier show during Paris Fashion Week in June and also strode the catwalk for John Galliano. Andrej Pejic has also been signed up by a top menswear label to do the Ad Campaign. Probably with that, Pejic will create history – modelling as a man and as a woman, too!

No doubt, New York Times called the Year 2010 as The Year of the Transexual!

Much before Tom Ford crossed over to a film-making career with a sleekly directed The Single Man or even before Issac Mizrahi crossed over to be TV Host, the genius, that is Jean Paul Gaultier decided to crossover into a singing career. The ladies at Jezebel dug up a true gem: Jean Paul Gaultier’s 1988 dance single “How To Do That.”

This video, featuring Ann Magnuson and a young Naomi Campbell, who dance while Gaultier repeats “How to do zat” over and over, is all that remains of that attempt. I am really at a loss for words on this one, but here’s a few that come to mind: dancing scissors, Naomi Campbell, cone bras, male model in a mesh crop top. And genius.

By the way, JPG used to co-present a show in the early 90s, called Eurotrash. You can watch the JPG Video on Youtube:
