Prabal Gurung seems to be the next big thing in fashion. For the uninitiated, Prabal Gurung is a fashion designer from Nepal with a Delhi Connection. He graduated from NIFT, Delhi and then worked with Manish Arora before moving to New York and launching his label. Gurung’s been in the news for the next hot talent in American Fashion and also for his Hollywood clientele.
Yesterday Diane Von Furstenburg (who is elected as the President of CFDA for the 3rd term) announced the nominees for CFDA Awards and Prabal Gurung is in that list in ‘Emerging Talent’ category with 2 more designers. Way to go Prabal!
The film was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture, however, he was not nominated for the Oscar for Best Director. Fashion Week
