Niraj Yanchi Vadera passed away on the 3rd of September, 2026, just a month away from his 69th birthday. Cardiac arrest led to Yanchi’s death in a hospital.
Yanchi Vadera is a name known to all in the Delhi’s party circuit. He dressed well. Loved to don his suits, with a slick back-brush hairdo over thick-rimmed glasses. Occasionally puffed on his cigars as he took a sip of champagne while relaxing in his swimming pool. Yanchi lived life to the hilt.
Married twice, Yanchi married Ramona Narang within days of dating her. The marriage was kinda ‘war of the roses’. They fought, they made-up, they romanced, they travelled and then they split-up. Yanchi had his fare share of controversies. But he lived life on his own terms. He was duped too by his friends and lately I found Yanchi to be a lonely soul. But his spirits were always high.
Magnanimous and large-hearted Yanchi Vadera was just a phone call away when his friends were in distress. Yanchi’s baritone voice still rings in the ears when he yelled to the DJ to play his requests. Yanchi and his passion for music are almost urban folklore. His music collection is inimitable. It’s a treasure trove for a music lover.
Survived by his mother, daughters, son-in-laws and grand kids, Yanchi has left a void. He’s gone too soon but his wild spirit will be welcomed in the after-life to where he has flown.
