Do you know of any Indian fashion designers who excelled at sports and that too in national Level championships?

Well you would be surprised to know that designer Namrata Joshipura was in the National Women’s Hockey Team way back when she was in High School. Joshipura used to train hard at the National Stadium and has an emotional bond with the movie – Chak De India. But eventually it was fashion were her heart lay. 
Rajesh Pratap Singh was a National Level High Jumper when in school and in college. He was one of the first few Indian High Jumpers who could do the ‘Fosbury Flip’. He too found fashion’s calling too hard to resist.
But hey, I ain’t complaining at all because in Rajesh Pratap Singh and Namrata Joshipura, India has found great designers who have already made a mark in the Global Fashion Arena!
