All Kinda ‘LEAKS’ In India Leaking!

This is purely my personal curiosity – why the leaked Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG) Reports were piece of excellent investigative journalism and why the leak of documents from Oil & Energy Ministry ‘Corporate Espionage’? The process I think is the same and so is the purpose. You grease the palm of the Babus and you get your secret documents.

I am sure most will hate my question but still I want to know what distinguishes good leak from bad leak. Wikileaks is good leak or bad leak? If Shantanu Saikia got inside-information to run his website and attract subscribers, so does the TV Channels that pay babus and get CAG Reports to run 24X7 ‘Breaking News’ and ‘Exclusives’ for high TRPs. Everyone is chasing the money!!!

Nobody is cornering the real thieves  Let me see if anybody has the balls to ask the tough questions to Mukesh Ambani and Prashant Ruia, the owners of Reliance and Essar who bought those secret documents to profit from advance policy related information. Some employee will get the heat and RIL and Essar will claim that all was done without company’s knowledge but then these companies paid for the information, not the employee(s). 

All is hogwash. Just wait and watch the fun as Ambani and Ruias laugh their way to the banks!
