Superstar Boxer Vijender Singh believes in Chat Mangni-Pat Vyaah. The stylish dude landed on Friday, the 13th May 2011 in Delhi from Australia and now he’s getting married to his year old love – Archana tomorrow – 17th May 2011 at 1pm in the afternoon at The Flying Club in Safdurjung, New Delhi.
In fact Vijender Singh gave designer Manav Gangwani just about 48 Hours to design his two Sherwanis – one for the wedding and other for his reception on Wednesday. So what is our designer to the stars – Manav Gangwani creating for Vijender Singh?
The Wedding Sherwani is in elegant Ivory-Gold Tibetian Brocade, subtly accentuated with Swarovski Crystals at the front placket & dramatically combined with Gold Lame Collar & Cuffs. This is paired with Ivory Kurta & Pajama, Gold Stole, shaded dark Fuschia-Deep Red Pagri & Tibetian Brocade Jootis. For Reception, Manav says he has designed, “An exquisitely embroidered Gold Lame Sherwani. A built-in Collar with inspired black velvet appliqué makes for a refreshing change…the entire Sherwani is subtly highlighted with ingeniously placed Swarovski Crystals…a hint of Emerald Crystals adds just the right dash of panache. This is paired with black Shirt & Churidar Trouser, gold-black Stole.”I am sure Vijender Singh will look dapper but still not much on his lady-love, Archana. Since the Wedding is happening at the Flying Club with Safdarjung Airport, I can only guess that Archana is probably an Air Force Officer’s daughter.
My blessings to Vijender and Archana!
