World’s Number One Luxury Conglomerate – LVMH has been trying for years now to takeover Hermes and bring it under LVMH umbrella, both through talks and hostile takeover bids but haven’t been successful.
So Louis Vuitton went for the next best option. They adopted a new strategy aiming for an improved luxury positioning and launched several handbag pieces of over US$40,000, including the priciest project the black Crocodile leather Capucines bag at US$48,000, which is approximately Rupees Thirty Lacs (Rs. 30,00,000)
The Capucines line is inspired by rue Neuve-des-Capucines where Louis Vuitton set up shop in 1854. The timeless design is confirmed through the rare precious Crocodile skin, and refined details such as a semi-rigid handle for hand, elbow or shoulder secured by beautiful jewel-like rings. Interior details include supple goatskin leather lining, a zippered pocket and a flat pocket for smartphones, mini tablets etc.
