One of the most esoteric menswear brand famous for its bespoke handmade shoes – Berluti is finally coming to India with its first flagship store at the DLF Emporio in New Delhi. Berluti was founded in 1895 by Alessandro Berluti and was acquired by LVMH almost 100-years later in 1993. Berluti is headed since 2012 by LVMH’s CEO Bernard Arnault’s son, Antoine Arnault and is known for its unique leather finishing of calfskin, kangaroo leather and alligator skin, especially in its production of shoes and boots. It also makes leather belts, bags, and wallets, as well as bespoke and ready-to-wear garments.
Gaganmeet Singh who is in the luxury trade for years and had introduced Bang & Olufsen to India is the man behind introducing Berluti to India. In fact he is also bringing in Saint Laurent, an iconic label founded by the fashion icon – Yves Saint Laurent to India.
The connossieurs of Berluti are excited about the label coming to India as they won’t have to carry their pair of favourite Berluti to London for a Patina touch-up. Berluti offers life-long servicing of leather goods purchased at their authorised outlets. Guys it’s time to put your best foot forward provided you willing to shell out big-bucks!
