DIL-ILUMINATI IS A DIL BREAKER

Diljit Dosanjh

Diljit Dosanjh is a huge artist. No doubts about it at all. But this concerts of his are more than music. It’s an event where people jump in, buy tickets and then sell them at premium for multiple X. In simple terms, people are just waiting to grab tickets and black them to fans, music lovers or whoever that have extra cash to buy them at such exorbitant prices.

Diljit comes across as a good soul. I am sure it’s the organizers, SaReGaMa in this case who are letting this ‘blacking’ of tickets go scot-free. Are the multi-city tours of Dosanjh only meant for the High-Networth-Individuals who can afford attending live concerts paying premium bucks? Has something as pure as music become elitist too? Shouldn’t there be a chunk of tickets saved or reserved at budget prices?

I have come across over score of Dil-Luminati ticket sellers asking for ten plus times the money. Does nothing stop this back market? Is there any system to control this hoarding and black-marketing? Do only the super-rich get to enjoy live concerts?

Yes, too many questions. But are there any answers? Or we just become slaves to the insane system of demand and supply? For once can making money wouldn’t be the prime objective. Can it?

Eventually Diljit Dosanjh has been served a legal notice for alleged price manipulation of ticket sales. Hope the court takes the matter to a positive conclusion for the benefit of music, the artist and the music lovers.
