Latest Bollywood entrant and star-daughter, Shraddha Kapoor recently had a fashion faux-pas moment. At a function, Shraddha wore a black sequined short dress and flesh-toned knickers. Couldn’t really understand the colour choice for the underwear. Wouldn’t black been the apt colour??? Anyway wearing contrast colour panty was a hidden fashion blunder on Shraddha Kapoor’s part but flashing them while sitting definitely was a blatant fashion faux-pas. I fail to understand why can’t they sit ‘propah’ while wearing a short dress.
My dearest Preity Zinta has been busy with IPL and is judiciously present at all the King’s XI Punjab’s matches. She relegiously dons custom-made Kings XI logoed tops and salwar-kameezs. But at one of the recent matches I discovered that PZ has let her belly grow. Must be relieved after PVR agreed to distribute her Ishq In Paris, Preity must be indulging in Punjab’s butter-chicken and dal-makhani. In the picture here PZ’s belly-bulge is very prominent. Poor girl wasn’t aware of the camera on her or else she would had taken a deep breath and sucked in her tummy.
Don’t most self-proclaimed fashionistas spend hours in front of the mirror? More so the ones who hire PR to brand themselves as Divas and seek invitation to parties? Well here is one such case – Aijesh Oberoi who claims to be a fashion designer (But then who isn’t?). These days I get to see her pretty often on ‘Page Trash’, oops -’Page 3′.
Aijesh Oberoi was lately snapped at some random do where she happily posed for the paparazzi in her fashionable clothes and ignored the fact that her top was short for the low-slung pants she wore, making her belly peek out. I am sure it is not a deliberate attempt to give a sneak-peek of the belly or the latest fad. If it was, then madam Oberoi should have had done something about the ungainly stretch marks. Have a look for yourself.
Dear divas, wearing fancy labels doesn’t make you fashionable. Wearing clothes that compliment your body sure does!
Preity Zinta is on a promotion spree for her latest film that is also produced by her – Ishq in Paris. She was in the Capital to promote her movie as well as promote some jewelery.
Anyway that’s not what I am talking about. Preity Zinta wore a pair of red denims and the crotch was bit too tight creating a Camel-toe effect. It’s a major fashion faux-pas PZ. Hope next time you wear something little roomy!
Dior Homme has come out with a “Black Tie Sneaker”. Is it India-Inspired???
Well Indian men’s biggest fashion faux-pas was to don sports-shoe with a formal suit. The Babus wore those chunky white Action sports-shoe with Safari-Suit (Yet another fashion history of India best forgotten!), the blushing groom donned a pair of dazzling white Lakhani sneakers with a double-breasted brown polyester suit and even Dhirubhai Ambani was occasionally spotted wearing sneakers with a suit or the Safari-Suit.
Now Dior Homme is peddling the “Black-Tie Sneaker” and claims to be “inspired by street culture and created in couture spirit”. The High-Top sneaker has flashy branding too on the sole and the heel for nouveau-riche show-offs. But would you wear a sneaker with your Tux and attend a ‘Black-Tie Affair’? I wouldn’t.
The sneaker with a linen sporty suit is okay. Amitabh Bachchan wore Converse sneakers with linen suits and so did Arjun Rampal in Ek Ajnabee and both looked cool but wearing sneakers with a classic suit is stretching things a bit too far. But then fashion is weird at times and am sure there wouldn’t be dearth of takers for the Dior Homme ‘Black Tie Sneakers’.
