A new model from Bangalore – Archana Akil Kumar -discovered by photographer Rohit Chawla is making her debut on the ramp at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) fall-winter 2013. Her face, her body, her complexion and most importantly her attitude towards work has caught our attention instantaneously. She reminds us of Laxmi Menon who went global – was featured on the cover of American Vogue and walked the ramp at New York Fashion Week & Paris Fashion Week. Laxmi had a mentor in Prabuddha Dasgupta.
Rohit Chawla says, “She (Archana) just needs to go to Paris. The shoot I did for Tarun Tahiliani with her was amazing and this girl is how easy to work with.”
