Shameless Gatecrasher

The infamous gatecrasher – Anil Mishra – who managed to breach Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security at Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ swearing in ceremony is arrested and sent to jail till November 11. Mishra is a racketeer, a small time wannabe fixer, impersonator and a compulsive gatecrasher. I bumped into this fraud at India Fashion Week some five-six years back when a parallel fashion body was raising its ugly head. Anil Mishra those days claimed to be the go-between man for Shankarsinh Vaghela, the then Minister of Textile. He stood out like a sore thumb and I did make it a point to stop this fraud whenever I spotted him.

Mishra gave me the shock of my life when I saw him at VIP arena at one of the IIFA junket that I went for. I asked Wizcraft team about his antecedents and was told that he used to be personal staff of Amitabh Bachchan and is close confidant of Madhur Bhandarkar. I subsequently spotted him at other Film Award functions and many a fashion show.

Anil Mishra’s modus -operandi is simple. He projects himself mostly as a government babu ( carries some fake IDs) and has this uncanny knack of getting close to important people and promptly one of his tag-along clicks a picture. He is shockingly shameless and mastered the crude art of getting himself in the frame whenever photographers are clicking celebrities. I am posting many of such photographs here and you got to see the bewildered looks on the celebs’ faces. Mishra uses these photographs to claim closeness with these ‘VIPs’ and then fraudulently victimizes many unsuspecting folks as the all powerful fixer. Thank god his racket is exposed. But PM’s security cannot be so slack to allow such callousness…
