‘Bangkok Boy’ is indeed the latest fad amongst the high-society types. No, I ain’t talking about Ladyboys that you see in Pattaya or Patpong. I am talking about IVF Babies, which I love to define as ‘Bespoke Baby’ as Couture is what’s the buzz these days.
The craze for a male child is not only amongst the poor and backward villagers. It’s in fact at a more obsessive level amongst the richie-rich kinds who a want a male child at any cost. They have found the easiest way out – a IVF Baby, a IVF Boy and the best place to get it done is Bangkok.
Tanisha and Robbie are true trend-setters, at least when it comes to ‘Bangkok Boy’. They were one of the first to go the IVF way to have a male child. Recently i discovered at least four couples who went to Bangkok and got a male baby through IVF. Amit and Divya Burman and Gauri and Vidhur Talwar are the latest benefactors of IVF to beget a Boy, a ‘Bangkok Boy’
God, what will happen to the country’s sex ratio? It’s literally Raining Men! For every 1000 males, it would be something like 400 females probably. Where the hell is this society heading? I can still understand the ignorant and uneducated couples obsessed about a male child but what explains this craze amongst phoren educated, super-rich couples???
I think it is highly tacky and an invasion of privacy to name people in such an article…. i used to think this blog was fun.. but i am hugely disappointed… it’s clearly just a space for people to settle their scores and personal grudges…
Hey Anon ! Sorry if you felt bad for your friend but this is what blogs are all about. Kindly don’t participate if you can not face truth. You were fine reading abouts others but when somebody revealed a truth about you (ur friend ) u felt bad. Not fair. Cheer up woman and don’t get upset.
There’s a lot of superficial modernity in this country. European designer outfits, a fancy phoren education, convent school – English and yet underneath it all, a feudal ass-backwards mind. Look at Navin Jindal and the khap fiasco. I’m not surprised that many rich couples are doing this – they tend to come from very conservative nouveau riche business families and no amount of veneer of modernity is ever going to change that.
And the sad fact is that historically, when the ratio of men to women becomes severely unbalanced and there are too many males who cannot find partners, it leads to civil war. Will that be the end result of the obsession?
it’s pretty sad how rich folk are using the ivf to get male child.
IVF is boon for somebody with fertiliy issues.. as some going through this at the moment, i can tell you it’s not fun. why would somebody let their body go through this ordeal when they can conceive naturally (this is assuming these women don’t have any fertility issues)
IVF is not cheap either, of course money is the proble here…for these folks atleast.
and who says it would work the first time.. is going through IVF SEVERAL TRIES REALLY WORTH IT TO GET BANGKOK BABY, WHEN YOU CAN HAVE ONE THE GOOD OLD FASHION WAY.. EVEN IF IT’S A LITTLE GIRL..
